Got a new set of hagon twin shocks for an old Honda that I bought probably 18 months ago from eBay and have sat in the garage until this weekend.
The upper part of the shock (the collar that retains the spring) just hits the frame
Annoying as they were supposed to be a direct replacement but as I bought through eBay and so long ago I have no comebacks now. The only way I can think to get round this is to either add a spacer on top of the collar (would only need to be 5mm) or to build up the inside of the collar with some weld.
This is what it looks like with the collar flipped upside down to give more clearance (although the spring would slip like that)
I might call hagon tomorrow to see if they’ve got anything off the shelf they can provide but want to check I’m not missing anything too obvious?
