Anyone had recent exsperience of online estate agents?

looking to use an online estate agent but finding the reviews conflicting.

Can't help re the exact online firms, just my viewpoint when I sold my last house.

Some online are no more than one person sitting in his spare room with a well designed website.

I always have suspicions about reviews, they are too easy to be fiddled.

I prefer a 'well established for years' local office I can walk into and speak to a real person, especially if a problem requires attention, price comparing and haggling can reduce the cost.

I will accept there must be some decent online firms and I also accept online is taking over everything, that's not always for the better though.

My daughter is using Purple Bricks at the mo. The agent seems to be very customer focused and providing a level of service you might expect from the more conventional estate agent but at a fraction of the cost.

I was drawn to purple bricks , the trust pilot reviews are all very good but a little digging and on the other review sites its completely the opposite in fact almost all bad,
I also read that trust pilot offers cash incentives for people to remove bad reviews?
online start at £99.00, high street £4000.00, and I would rather do most of it my self, I find the worst part of moving house are the estate agents and the lack of control.

purple bricks you pay a fee if you sell or don't sell
no % fee but layers of fees need to read the small print very carefully

If that was true I know what I would be doing for the next week, my typing finger would be worn down to the knuckle .

Got to be worth giving a online agent a go if your prepared to do the viewings I have just sold a house with a traditional estate agent and is going to get far amount of money for doing what amounts to be a few grands worth of work at beSt. Oh and to top it off I don' live at the proprty so it was empty and I went to do a final clear up before sale and guess what i find both porch door and internal front doors wide open .never again.
