Bahco Files?

Files turned up today & first impressions are good! Nice quality, At an affordable price. Even made in Portugal which suprised me! Will report back after use.

Hang them up with an old one and use that first on materials you are unsure are hard or not, if it skids don’t use your good ones. Have you had any tuition on how to file?

I can't say I'm much of a filling expert! But I can imagine they don't last long if abused?

No they don’t last if abused just like hacksaw blades! They last a lot longer if the whole length is used just like.......... hacksaw blades.

Firstly bahco are OK files.
things people forget with files is

Break them in on a block of brass or copper
Chaulk the file to help remove pins before they get thier
Card the file regularly to remove pins
A good handle on a average file is better I. Use than a great file with a rubbish handle on it !
