yeah the one i had was built like a tank but i didnt want to change the motor or put a vfd on it so i sold it shame because it was a solid old school machine

Jack in there is some serious power I pressed a hole in a piece of steel only problem is I measured everything in centre but the bottle jack cyclinder is off set I didnt account for this so I dont know to move it or just leave it I had to install another set of springs but works perfect

I'd move it so the cylinder of the jack is centred, that's what I done with mine just because it looks right. It'll come in handy for lots of things.

i think i will, the ram bar is a piece of 50mm bright bar which i drilled a 25mm hole in the bottom so i can push a 25mm bar into the bottom of it but not sure if i should of done i have not yet fully welded it on, my idea was i will machine a 50mm mandrel and a 25mm mandrel like in the picture?
i drilled it on my lathe with a 25mm drill but the bottom of the hole is not flat its concave like the drill bit so by making the mandrels i was thinking the pressure will be on the shoulder of the ram because what was happening was the 25mm bar was tight to get out i assume this is because it has not got a flat bottom and the pressure is driving into the ram (wedging it) so by making the with a shoulder on i hope this will stop it happening

what i do once ive drilled to the correct depth..
is use a boring bar to sq the bottom out.

I have bought some boring bars in all different sizes the magnet idea is great though works perfect
