They aren't bad Ashley. My personal favourite that I've bought have been vallorbe.

should be decent files a good make and not cheap unbranded crap that's normally sold .I only buy second hand ones in good nick with English makers name stamped on them .no name I don't buy

Bahco do good stuff on a par with Sandvic. Cromwell were good for files as well.

ive that set, its decent, the files are nice and wide. the handles are nice and comfy.

I have some of those files but the older model and they are very good. Although I still like buying the files and wooden handles separately. A wood handle is always more comfortable than plastic. But it’s good to have a set to get started with.

Dick files (no sniggering at the back), made in Germany are good, old Stubbs files, made in the uk were great, but are sadly gone. America had Nicholson files, but i read that they moved production to Mexico and quality is nowhere near what it was.

got a load of Oberg ones from an oldie who worked all his days for the forestry commision .used to sharpen large circular saw blades realy keen on hard metals

was showing a young colleague at work a file with Bastard etched on it didnt have a clue what i was on about but thought it might be difficult to use

Pferd make some nice files. If I could get a decent catalogue off them I might be able to order some.

I’ve got some of their burrs and they’re quality

pferd (horse) started off making rasps for horses toenails still do .
make great abrasive discs
bacho started with fishing hooks and shifters

Files turned up today & first impressions are good! Nice quality, At an affordable price. Even made in Portugal which suprised me! Will report back after use.
