I would imagine the bulk of the difference technically is just a few extra inputs and a tweak in the software.Another slight hijack; What's the difference between a tv and a monitor? Why is a 27" Dell monitor £200 when a 43" LG tv is only another hundred?
After seeing that 34" monitor (jealous) can I ask ...my graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce 8600GT - can this be used with these modern monitors (displayport or HDMI inputs) ie can I get an adapter or do I need a new graphics card??

what graphics / video card for two screen? what's the recommendations. Looking for advice on units with a sensible budget for a new works machine. I'm not into games / graphics or anything fancy, this will be works PC, running on Window 7 professional (have it already) predominantly doing 2D cad (AutoCAD 2017) and the very occasional 3d model works (Navisworks - mostly viewing not processing). I'll be running 2 x 22" screens, although a third screen could be useful, but I have no idea how that would work? 2 off the graphic card, and one off the mother board connection I suppose?..
When I first saw this thread, I was going to add that up until lately, I have used 2 computer monitors. But then I got halfway down the first page.
It turned mine into a bit of a “I like blinking, I do” reply. Waaay above my head.
^^ mine too, that's why I asked.... the IT savvy were probably rolling their eyes at my basic question.. but at least I know now...

240gig should be plenty, you leave your old hard drive in to use for storage
...
the tech changes too much ive built loads of pc,s up and its a mind field for me with all the big updates
just one thing you can never be the top model pc unless you have silly money to spend on it
That's what I did, but kept the old HDD exactly as it was and I back up my data to it too. The reason being that if the SSD fails I can alter the boot drive in CMOS and carry on.
The SSD can be smaller than your HDD provided the amount of space used on the HDD is less than the SSD. If not some migration programs will let you select which files to copy across.
I was under the impression you couldn't torrent through Tor? You certainly can't do it as quickly.
and by the time you've bought it and put it together. It's already out of date.
Move the mouse over, as simple as that. You can drag windows over etc etcPerhaps for the techies, it would need to be at least twenty years old before my pooter skills out grew it
How does one get from a window on one screen to the adjacent screen?
