I've got a couple of Speedglas helmets and for the most part have been very happy. I've got one major gripe though and that's with the headgear which keeps breaking.
First one I had the ratchet mechanism cracked so I had to buy a new one. Second one broke at the weekend, though this time it was one of the bits of plastic that holds the strap that goes over your head, just by one of the rivets. So that's another new bit I need to buy.
Sod's Law was I'd kept the broken one to use the bits if another broke but threw it out in a 'tidying' spree about a fortnight ago! Anyone else had problems with these or have I just been unlucky? I guess they're made to be light but they seem a bit flimsy compared to the Optrel ones.

) you tighten to stop it falling down wears out. Basically having been pretty happy I'm quickly going off them. Pretty daft of 3M really as surely the headgear is the cheapest bit. Why put something on that lets the rest of an otherwise good product down?
