I’ve been to whadon near MK/ stoney Stratford before but I’m still pretty new to it. I think I’m getting the most out of it but reviewing headcam videos of me on it I’m hardly on the power band at all. Need to be more fearless but I work for myself so have a lot to lose.

I’m doing my direct access currently and hoping to get a road legal 250 exc sometime this year. I did my cbt last Saturday which was a good experience.

go for the 300 , the 250 has a 5 speed box whereas the 300 has a 6, makes roadwork nicer

Riding dirt bikes hard is a young mans game. Ground gets harder as you get older. The older you get the longer the damage takes to heal. Id suggest green laning rather than mx.

I still ride on the road occasionally, but must invest in an old trials bike

Didn't realise you were a local. When I get a new trials bike later this year your welcome to come have a play boss. I Want an old ty250 or a fantic to restore.
Costs me 28 quid a year for anytime access to a private practice ground. Dirt cheap in comparison to mx

I point blank refuse to ride bikes on the road. Don't trust myself or others lol.

Need someone to chase to increase your confidence. Riding with mates better than you is the fastest way to improve. Healthy competition and **** taking helps a lot.

I found that at Whaddon. I only had about 10 hours experience and didn’t quite fancy the track with the jumps but the flat track was awsome. My friend was on his yz 125 and having him to chase certainly makes you go harder.

Between junction 13 m1 and bedford.

Last year two mates started riding trials. Both from a mx background. By teaching them I found myself pushed to improve and having people to spot by big logs and rocks gave me the Confidence to hit them hard and commit to the move.

Enjoyed the above video. Can tell he is a trials rider too ok some level.

You could always have a go at this..... For a few years I did section Marshalling at the Scottish 6-day Trial, that was a great experience!!

As an aside, a pal here [sadly now deceased] had an e-works Greeves trials bike [iirc correctly, one of three to 'escape' ]. When he died another enthusiast bought it, but doesn't ride it often. Had the kick of a mule when you kick-started it.

I’ve seen him do the hare scramble. He quite often takes tougher lines to get passed people and seems so relaxed at it. Getting past them on the flat isn’t his style.

This video of Jarvis still makes me twitchy. Watched this back in the day on the box. Only rider with no minder and one of the more dangerous indoor events I can remember.

Both him and doggie lampkin first appeared on kickstart.

Shame they don't remake that. Huge amount of kids starting on ebike these days some very talented.

Hell of a skill in that trials malarkey.

Had a little blast up the runway and the jetting all seems to be out. It was a bit smokey previously but ran pretty good, I’m surprised as it’s really cold today so you would think the denser air would leen the mix a bit. Could be the fuel as it is about 4 weeks old or that the stuff that was trapped within the bowl has gone stale - it did run better after 5 minutes or so but not brilliantly.

Oil fuel mix is correct and I shook the tank well yesterday before putting it back on. Putoline mx5 oil

Should I move the needle clip up a bit to see if it takes care of it somewhat?
