I have all the new fuel gear with the ONE-KEY software which is another step forward again. They are always improving but with Milwaukee even the older or cheaper stuff was always really good too.

Have you seen their tool lockout function to prevent other users operating your tools?

Yeah. I can do that with my phone. I just select the tool I want to lock and lock it.

They do this too but it’s only close range. If they get swiped you ain’t tracking them round the country. What they are good for are the 4 modes. You can set up 4 speed and torque settings to use in both the high and low gears. So essentially your drill can have 8 speed and power settings of your own choice. Problem with cordless drills I find is they are too fast for hard materials and big bits. I can use blacksmith drills up to an inch on mine and huge hole saws and set it to cut slowly with high torque and more control. The impact is the same. I can have any power or speed i want. I’ve got the 3/8 drive impact with over 230 ft lb of torque yet I can set it to drive tiny self tapers into sheet without stripping the thread. That’s the bit I love about the software. Very adaptable tools
