Edwards metal folder anygood?

I have been offered a Edwards metal folder, It looked strong but in need of a clean up and a good home, Does anybody know if they are any good? I only snapped a pic of the makers plate as i thought it would be on google but not seen anything like it.. The model number says 310-U/C width 1000mm x 3mm capacity

It is lying face down in a scrap yard, It has a damaged foot but it is just bent round a bit, I will get back there Monday and look it over, But i think it is going to be a good gamble.

Is it a box and pan folder, if so check that the fingers are there and not too damaged. Box and pan are more universal but if missing fingers might be expensive to replace.

Yep its been outside for a bit, But i think it will be pretty much scrap price or there abouts

Sadly the metal folder was dropped while being moved so it has gone for scrap..

Only looks like one bolt has snaped so possible to repair.

Such folders are always better tested
For the cost of a couple of bits of sheet you can confirm they are bending evenly.

So many get beasted when there's an oversize job on

I had parted with no money and the price was going to be £200 so i thought it was a good grab but he said he will keep an eye out for another one and i had my RSJ and trolley off him, There will always be another .

I'd say it is repairable, that bolt had been snapped and welded back on the Edwards folder where I first worked.

I'd have his hand off all day long for 200 quid, I'd still be tempted even with it needing repairing especially if he'd let it go for a bit less now he's broken it

There is a lot of weight in them to hang from a strap if you are gonna rely on those 2 bolts to take the strain, it's far better to lift it with a forklift.
