I'm nearly there - I've got the camera addressed by it's own IP number over the internet, but as I don't have a static IP address I need to use a domain name.
I have my own domain so question 1 of 1000 is:
Do I need to define a sub-domain for each camera, so I end up with camera1.mydomain.co.uk camera2.mydomain.co.uk and so on?
This is going to turn out to be a long thread

The above is very general as routers and FW differ and there are loads of other tools and solutions.
. I think the most interesting bit is going to be dealing with my domain supplier's billing department, or maybe the fortnight's conversation I'm having with the camera supplier to help them get their client software working properly. Their last release is v12 and I'm currently working with v15.
