If i had room for another garage it would be done...were in a mid terrace house so any garage is a bonus...
As for not enough tools, granted i dont have a lathe or miller but i have pretty much every other tool i could possibly need and more, (yes i know theres more i could use haha)

Add another to the chorus for a dehumidifier. It will lower the humidity in the place, provided the garage temperature is higher than 4degC. The puddles will tend to evaporate more quickly, and the moisture from the drying puddles will be reduced by the dehumidifier, but draughts will need to be sealed up, else all the dehumidifer will be doing is drying the outside air.

You could impress upon her that if putting the car wet into the garage makes your tools rust, it will make her car rust, too!!

As a temp fix what about a shed load (no pun intended) of cat lit stuff, seen that it works in cars so a garage is just a bigger scale.

I only have 2 entry points on garage, window and main door, so window is easy enough to seal, whats best way to (seal) an up and over door so i cn use. Dehumidifier

a wood stove fed from outside air can create dry heat or any heater that burns fresh air from outside can as long as the inside of the garage is air heated only

to seal up and over garages you need to use a rubber seal or a foam seal barrier, rubber seal is the easiest option unless its the roller type of door

window id just plastic sheet it as when summer comes your going to want to open it up

It's bad for the car and whatever you have in the garage. Condensation will form on the inner surfaces of the car. You would be best to leave it outside in a well ventilated area - a drive is good - until the moisture is completely removed and the vehicle is totally dry before putting in in a sealed container (garage).

To put this into perspective, do you put the clean wet washing straight away into the wardrobe or drawer or do you allow it to dry first before putting it away?

If you do get a dehumidifier get a dessicant one instead of a compressor based one as they work well down to 1 degree c. A compressor based one will spend most of its time in defrost mode below 10 degrees and pull little moisture from the air
