Silicone gun, whats this for ?

Not the gun itself but the pin thats attached to it. I have used them for years but never have i had on with ones of these attached to it.

It swivels around and thats it, it tightly attached, you can see where it clips back.

Any ides ?

Thats what I've always used them for, too narrow to clear blockages I think.

Ah never thought of that, so a nozzle clearer.

It was a fiver i think from BnQ in the reduced section


Well a new tube stabber, i guess if there is set silicone in the nozzle it could puh it out, better than a screw driver lol

Well I've found a page that agrees with @8ob and @GW8IZR and says the needle is for piercing foil seals found on some cartridges

Must type faster!

Another useful feature not found on many guns is a guillotine built in to the trigger mechanism for nipping the end off a new nozzle.

I had totally forgotten about those kind of metal cartridges, seam sealer has the same foil seal too.

No, I use mine to press the CPU reset button on a nasty fire alarm.

Best tool ever.

As to on a silicon gun. Poking old set sealant out of nozzles.
