England have looked a bit over-confident in every game. This time it bit them and the Scots were really up for it. Long term it will settle down and England will probably win the 6 Nations. Ireland are really the only other contenders.

As for Nigel Owen, he is never impartial when it comes to England. He looks for reasons to penalise England. His decisions are usually technically correct but sometimes unlikely to be given by some of the others. The first disallowed "try" would have been given by most others. The commentators etc daren't question him as it looks like sour grapes or even worse . He should never referee England games.

Your first from either camp I have seen moaning about the ref. I personally dont like him but he was fair yesterday

Nothing wrong with being first and yes he is a good ref as are all the refs that cover the home internationals but I thought he was a little too picky against England that's all. No getting away from the fact that the Scotland manager has done a great job with the team and their commitment. Its great to watch and thought they were hard done by in Wales.

You need to sign Richie McCaw up as a coach and then Nigel will be England's best ref.

Laws should have been binned for a shoulder charge, not just a knock on. In the second half especially Laws and a few of the forwards were regularly diving into the rucks off their feet and not really using their arms.

Paul O'Connell the ex British Lions and Irish team captain is on record as saying he thought that the referee Nigel Owens had a good game. Just saying...

As to players fighting there was an instance back in the 60s, when two French players took the field against Wales, already bleeding as a result of a fight between themselves in their changing room.
I gather it quite put the wind up a few Welsh forwards (at the time mostly miners and steel workers), thinking: it's going to be a tough 80 minutes if they're already battering each other.
Enjoyed the game much more back then than today, not a fan of half a team change at 60 minutes.

The result has certainly made the comp a lot more interesting. Better team won on Saturday. Ireland gone favourites for the title but still wide open which is great.

Watched it in "The Fighting Cock", Bradford....the only Scotsman there!

Had to watch the higlights again on Monday night....all 80 mins of them
