I know that I only do small things so this has been on a back burner for a while, my powder coating has basically meant I hang a part from a bar protruding off a flat panel door, I squirt powder at it and then I spend time sweeping up afterwards, I tried a few things like a fabric curtain, but that was more problems then worth.
So I got a largish box taped up cut hole stuck a vent on it some 100mm tube to an extractor and got this.
So Ok now I have minimal sweeping up but still some as it can still escape being blown back a bit,
So think I need a bit better then a B&Q extractor fan, (but it is quiet).
I was wondering about using a small cyclone affair, out of a large tin and some plastic tube when I came across these on the bay:
Stick them on top of a tub that the dust falls into. Thing is, what are the thoughts on going from say 100mm down to 50mm internal to enter the cyclone, would I be OK with a simple taper cone?
The cardboard box is starting to come apart as the tape is peeling off with damp, so I need to come up with better there, but it's a start.
What does anyone else do when powder coating., small scale stuff it is not worth going to someone else.
more of a challenge before someone suggests it.
