Best place to sell a classic bike

Sons decide to part with one of his collection he just hasn't the time and funds to put it on the road and the usual too many projects, its BSA C15 so where would you advertise it?
Its not a show winner its been parked inside for the last 30 odd years so not in bad condition

Its the fees and fools that put him off, we have have seen some bikes sell well and others poorly just weeks apart, he needs to get the best he can for it really

its proper random on ebay - its ok if youre selling all the time, as, some you win, some you dont, but it all works out good in the end.... but if its just a 1-off, its always a risk

He's 18 with a Saturday job and currently looking for an apprenticeship so money is tight for him so the more he gets the better, I wondered if it would be best locked away and forgotten about but he could do with the cash and the prices at the moment look to be high

Looking at Car and Classic sales I cant see any unrestored examples like his

Its 99% complete, missing battery side cover, Battery, Chain and foot peg rubbers, Nice reg, no docs but all the paper chase to get them , its tax and MOT exempt too!

So someone see a complete one for 3-1/2 big ones and thinks yours for 2000 in bit's is really bargainatious;-)
Ceefers are still only worth a tenner, if they are runners.

My sons is all together they are a pain to store in bits so i wouldn't let him strip it until he had the time and funds too finish it, he is now glad he didn't as we feel a box of bits is worth less than a whole bike
