Help needed.iveco van rear axle

So my van a 2008 iveco 35c12 has a grumbly axle, firstly I checked with a moderator that I could post as its not welding, does anyone have/know of/breaking or know suitable breakers of these at affordable prices?
repair kits are extortionate,so I am looking for a complete axle or diff and planets to fit a 2008 twin wheel with ABS,it has springs fitted above the axle ,some are fitted below,mostly the single wheel jobbies.
Would consider complete axle that is faulty,or a good one that diff etc would fit my casing.
Any other help suggestions appreciated, van is to good to break so would like to fix. thanks Arther, please pm for my contact details.

Unless the crownwheel and pinion are worn I would put a bearing kit in.

Thanks,its raining at the moment so need to get a couple of dry days to pull cover off and see if pinion and planets etc look ok, the problem with these is lack of maintainance, I recently got it, sorted engine,electrics had been bodged, with axles its normally caused by caliper freezing then you are basically driving with brakes on, the diffs dont last long then, cheap sliding calipers need constant servicing.
unfortuantly there was no noise what so ever driving ,untill I had the window fully open going around a corner slowly, click,click..
jacked one rear side up and run it up,sounds awfull bearing grumble, checked oil only had a litre when it should have two, no metal shards or sparkle though, so might be lucky with just bearings eh.

Thanks BJ, yes already phoned Tom, he is going to check monday but as far as he knows just sold one he had, dinasor dung is easier to find,well at a realistic price, past a certain poit it will be a breaker rather than repair.

I have used transit and iveco axles for racing for years and the odds of finding a good second hand one is slim to none, your best refurbing what you have and you will know it's right.

appreciate that Wv8, if its dry tomoz will pop the cover and have a sqiz, so what do you race using iveco axles?I have rebuilt one before on my 50c15, pinions and crowns arent cheap!

wow,those engines sound great,very addictive I would think.

So cover off,one side jacked so I could rotate, phew pinion and crown wheel look good, no chips or missing teeth as I had expected from the clicking...some wear on edges of planetary but not enough to cause a problem, so looks like strip down,new bearings,set up pinion pre load etc, then remove both hubs,check handbake mech,fit new discs ans either overhaul or replace both calipers/new pads...probably still looking at £450 for parts but crown wheel and pinion would have doubled that!
a few pics to see what you guys think, and yes to re iterate,axle super quiet in cab no whines,but noisy bearing when run jacked up.

Grabbed an hour,whipped out half shafts and run it up in second gear just to double check if its the pinion bearing...Nope,super quiet, Victory, so must be hub bearings/calipers, it was noticable that when nearside half shaft came out not a drop of oil in sight, so good news, suprising as the clicking noise certainly sounded like a broken tooth,not that I am complaining ! so next job is hubs/calipers,they are straight forward enough.

Update, overhauled both calipers, one had stuck slider,other was ok but disc needed a good clean , all back on run it up with no wheels,loverly and quiet, hmmmm checked all around as due to the clunking/clicking noise I could hear before,apart from the graunch where pad was stuck due to slider, anyways found it...one spring u bolt finger tight the other you can lift 3 or 4mm clear of the spring, both nuts not tightened.
So how/why I dont know as like I said van is new to me,but ye its a result for me.ye.
