Why don't you get a adapter to use the new battery with itAny recommend a decent replacement Makita 18v battery. After the black heavy duty ones 5000ma iirc. Nicd by the way like the red pa18.
No luck on eBay.
Google only finding red pa18 up to 3ah.
Thanks
By time I buy one and batteries and charger to match may aswell get new drill....
Which I might do lol
Aye. Did that a few years back. No regrets.By time I buy one and batteries and charger to match may aswell get new drill....
Which I might do lol
thing is i think my makita nicad stuff is better than the millawakee Lion stuff i replaced it with
I think the older nicd stuff was better built.
The white Makita stuff looks rubbish.
The new lxt brushless stuff looks ok and appears better built but is pricey.
My old nicd drill is indestructible
Just get some new cells and recore your old batteries,
If you open the up it will just be like rc car
cells inside.
Even the new lithium ion battery''s just have a pack of 10 (5x2) 18650 batteries in them.
by the time one has purchased those it would be cheaper to purchase a new batteryUsually they use subc ni-mh battery''

Yes, but on some tools you can only get inferior copy batteries now,
So if this was the case for the same money at least you can choose your own spec battery and decent quality.
Fair enough, each to there own,
Just at times I prefer repairing rather than replacing
I have 2 dewalt lithium 18v xr 4ah battery'' that i have to recore at the moment.
