Depends on the parts. Plenty are still made here. I know a company in Swansea that makes loads of stamped steel and ali parts for them.
There's all sorts of suppliers into the automotive, aerospace and general engineering companies up and down the land, in all sorts of places you'd never think of. Or indeed heard of ;-)
I've been into engineering shops in the middle of housing estates, the middle of nowhere, inside old textile mills (with holes cut in the ceiling/floor above, covered with a skin of plywood and carpet tile above, to get the motor on top of large milling machine in), modern factories, old back street lock-ups and new units on business parks.
And at the moment, a lot of them are busy, which can only be good.

Entirely true for the model of Disco I'm guessing you are playing with.
Lower and lower proportion by added value/IP content with each successive generation unfortunately. But true of most OEMs. Ever more of the IP is in the Tier 1 suppliers.
Felt tip pen boys call themselves 'designers' and think they are the upholder's of the brand values.

Fortunately the place in Swansea make bits for all the new models. And Aston Martin and even the new TVR being made in Wales.
And what I love is its a proper old school place. Not a CNC machine in sight. I wonder if the customers buying the latest Range Rover know that some of the parts are made on machines from before WW2....

I’m still not decided on this, the parts being replaced are all bolt or rivet on and are all very rusty, the chassis and body however is solid
I’ve a few months to the mot so they won’t be brand new, but they won’t be rusty either
I’m also considering putting it in early, before the changes come in

I agree though for a lot of offroad use I would suspect the opposite. I removed them from my Defender as I found offroad they get clogged up with mud and hold stones that you can hear rubbing against the disks.
I remember having a frank discussion with an mot tester about a honda where the o/s/f dust shield had rotted and fallen off,i said its not testable if its not there, customer had to pay for a factory one from japan at a cost of £145 if i remember,car never got through due to having 169000 miles and being knackered! I did advise them it wasnt worth it

I would agree with that, thats mainly why I don't fit them, even though the thoughts of taking my 90 out in the rain causes me to shudder ;-)
