You wont believe it but I can not even get the login page up for my WHM whilst on virgin.

If I go on to my hot spot on vodaphone it works just fine.

web host manager. I have a reseller account for websites.

But it just will not let me even reach the login via Virgin ISP.

if I switch to vodafone it not only gives me the login page but also lets me access my sites etc.

it could be a fire wall or site blocked issue at worst your site could have black listed your ip address

I sometimes have issues with firefox on VM, I have to restart it to update a webpage, Even if i press F% it wont refresh the page...damn technology..

Its all 3 browsers so its sounds like i have problems.......its the same pc .

I need to check if its just wired connection or also wifi.

Cant see it being firewall but who knows....

You are a star. I dont have my laptop or other PC set up but yes you proved its not my machine its Virgin...it works fine on data connection from the phone but not the wifi from virgin.

Now I know what its not saves me chasing my tail now how to convince virgn...lol

Can you renew your ip? We just left the router of but i think we used to to it from Ipconfig/all and select renew or refresh...its been a while lol

You have a Dynamic IP address. However, it is sticky and won't change unless any of the following are true:

1/
You are switched to a different CMTS/Line Card that has a different IP pool;

2/
You switch the hub off and leave it past your lease renewal date AND someone else has grabbed your public IP address.

3/
If you are in Router Mode, you can go to modem mode and a different public IP address will be assigned. Then you're back to the above. If you switch to Router Mode within the previous lease period for Router Mode, you'll get the same IP address you had before.

Maybe they have made it harder to change IP, i need mine static so i can see CCTV on the fone, Could you use a free VPN site to test it or 1 of the anonymiser sites

After two days someone somewhere reset or changed something as I can now access via any device on my virgin network now. very strange.

more like you caught a bad revolving ip address on update or restart of the system and on another power up you was cleared of it yes it does happen
