Stubby Combo Spanners

I’m looking [without success] for a set in both metric 10-19mm and imperial 1/4-3/4.

Plenty of metric sets but I can’t find the same brand who makes both. Dont need to be daft money as they will see little service nor a hard life

Gearwrench do them, I have both sets. I've found the flank drive on the open end to work very well.

Available from prime tools or Amazon. Prime will get them in for you if unlisted.

81903 is the code for the twin set actually. I bought mine both separately. Approx £50/£60 a set IIRC.

Surely king dick will do them both too? Probably cheaper. Edit: just had a look, it appears they don't, worth giving them a call?

You are unlikely to find stubby sets containing smaller than 3/8 also, if you really need a shorter 1/4 and 5/16 you will probably need to get miniature ones, king dick definitely do them as I have a set.

Not expensive for premium spanners at £60 but not cheap by a long way.

It wouldn't surprise me if you rang King Dick up they would have stubby imperial in the back somewhere.

Agreed, I have some 3/8 deep and shallow sockets that do get abused and they are spot on

For occasional use though I'd probably be pretty happy with those Bergen spanners, I like their stuff.

Sk are also worth looking at, they do both metric and af , I bought the 3/8 - 1" stubby set about twenty years ago and they are an excellent spanner.

I’ve seen those however I’d never use 13/16 or15/16.

Got a bit of Bergen gear good stuff.

I’ve also thought of cutting a std set down, I really need the odd ball imperial sizes for aircraft, and full sets are far easier to source in full size

I’ve looked at those as well. I like the idea of ratchet in a confined space, chances are there will be limited space around the nut, to allow the extra wall thickness of a ratchet head.

No, nothing as exotic as turbines. It’s all light aircraft, Cessna and the like.
