Thing is if I knew would have saved the £40 then put the plasma cutter on the mrs' account and used the code again and the £40 I saved meaning the cutter would have been really cheappreciate

You can (could) put multiple items in the eBay basket and pay for them in one go. I got 20% off oil cooler and some fittings, from different sellers.

Then again, hob + oven would probably put you over the max limit

Oh I took advantage of this and then some. I bought a power feed and a set of ER40 collets for my milling machine, that took me over the top price a bit, but I got the full £75 off. Then when I got home, I used my mums account and bought a clamping kit, a set off parallels, a centre finder and a Henry Hoover. Saved around £115 in total, well worth it I reckon. I probably could have gone on, bit more on my mums account and then moved on to my dads, but I didn't want to be too greedy.

It was on the 28th.... well passed now but I wondered if it was the sellers or EBay who stood the 20%. It might explain why the purchase would not go through.
