Ideas needed.

I got this nice set of weights the other day.
My plan was to get a perplex block, flat drills and make a nice display stand.

But, my friend, Greenback has set a challenge.
Make a display stand for them, but follow this set of rules.

You can't buy anything new.
You can't buy anything old.
You must only use what the average person has in their shed or garage.

Any one got any ideas?

If it’s the former you could probably put these guys to shame

Hang them on the end of some pencils/toothpicks/lolly sticks. Offset the balance point(s) and hang them from each other in a balanced cascade to give you an interesting "mobile".

1.6 stainless tig wire bent so the weights hang on it vertically as per tree, ends of wire into a polished Oak base.

and you can bet if it was for a reality TV show they would have everything you could want

Well I am disappointed no asked but this is what I meant:

The interesting thing about that set of weights is that the biggest one is about as heavy as all of the rest. therefore the entire set can be counterbalances (or placed in an equilibrium balance) from the first weight. The subsequent weighta slo follow a similar pattern. The next heaviest weight weighs about as much as the rest so they can also be counterbalanced etc. Eventually all of the weights can be constructed into a mobile.

You would need to slightly offset the pivot to ensure the entire system remains in equilibrium, either with a small standoff or use slightly curved supports. Otherwise the items would need to be in perfect balance.

Now I'm tempted to find some weights and have a go myself. It is definitely doable but in practice possibly a bit trickier to construct than to imagine.
