My wife was in Caernarfon airport the other week having a look around the coastguard rescue and air ambulance helicopters - she teaches emergency life support in glan clwyd. I was well jealous!!

We've got quite a bit in North Hereford, we were out sledging for a few hours this morning, weirdly only 2 other familys there.
We've a GSM remote control for the webasto on the wifes D3, quick text and it fire the heater and you can request status updates. It does make a big difference when you can get in and it's already operating temperature.

I was up early this morning and thought I'd take a walk in lovely winter-wonderland with a trip from Hatfield Peveral down to Witham.
The A12 looking Northbound from a bridge in Hatfield Peveral at 08:30...
...traffic was slow and the snow storm had me quickening my pace (plus the thought of a pint or two and a large cooked breakfast at Wetherspoons!
)...
...at this point, after walking for half an hour I'm told my ride back home can't make it out. The pleasing thought of good beer and breakfast fades, I trudge home slightly deflated...

I certainly miss them, the new one only ever passes when on a shout, the old ones used to hover over here for ages when training.

3.5 hrs to drive back home from rainham. Roads weren't too bad actually, but all the matrix signs set at 50 mph for the whole journey.
At home there's about 6" of snow settled in the village. Car won't make it up the track so is now stuck at a neighbours.
Also seem to have had a power cut at some point which has tripped the main rcd. Heating hasn't come on and house freezing

Simiar here Parm, went for a walk and a bit of sledging earlier and the main roads look ok(ish) but there was a car trying to get up our lane and going nowhere, on a relatively flat bit - I live at the bottom of a hill!!
The snow ploughs have been out but if anything they seem to have made things a bit worse on the side roads as they’ve left half an inch of slushy compacted snow.

Down here in the southwest we've had a lovely sunny day, no snow at all but a bit breezy.I bought some sledges about 6 years ago when it snowed, I'm still waiting to use them.

Our power has had 2 short drop out in the last half hour, just deciding if i should go and warn the genny up or just hope it stays on.
About 2" of soft snow just hope it doesn't freeze over night or funeral logistics in the morning are going to be hard work. Hills locally are all impassable at the moment. The police shut the hill on the A13 earlier.

That looks distinctly like a 225, they dont have the best teack record of staying in the sky, but if hes comming to help doubt Id care.
i passed there yesterday....no snow today either but bloomin cold. Though according to a colleague of mine, otterburn ranges is the worst place in the world!

Silly me stuck in traffic on the m40 northbound at least the roads were pretty clear not like when I started out at 6am m40 was covered in thick snow from hard shoulder to central reservation no picks of that experience I was to busy try to keep the car in a straight line.should have gone with my gut feeling and got back in to bed lol.
