Bottle handle?

Hello, I have a CO2 bottle without a grab handle around the neck and would prefer a handle than a hernia when moving around the shed. Neck of bottle threaded section is about 80mm dia.

Can these be had separately?, checked out ebay and weld equip and can't find them

I've got a handle off a Propane Bottle, But might be too big?

Cheers Ashley, I am surprised that with all the stuff there is on ebay you can't get a plastic grab handle for one of these, my other bottle is 70mm so handle on that would not work.
Do you know the inside dia of your one - guessing the threads should be the same?

This is the propane handle I've got:

Its 24cm diameter & 18.5cm in height.

It could be modified into a smaller diameter & less height if wanted!

Ashley thanks a lot for digging that out. At 24 dia its a bit too much work to reduce, still amazed these aren't available as plastic jobbies off ebay etc

Could you not attach it to the main body of the bottle? As 18.5cm is pretty high I must admit!

Last time I was at the local welding supplier they had a hinged alloy handle that slipped over the main diameter of the bottle and gripped it when lifted. I can't just call the makers name to mind.
If I ever go onto a full sized bottle for the MIG I'll probably get one.

They aren't available because realistically you don't own the bottle, if you returned it to it's owner they'd check if the bottle was in test and either fit a new collar or scrap the bottle.

I would at those prices! That's daylight robbery. Would be cheaper to buy a new bottle with a bloody handle!
