As I seem to be doing this more and more I thought I would see if there is an easier way of cutting this stuff. At the moment I am using either an grinder or a small pair of bolt cutters to nip it into shape. Is there a small one handed tool that will cut this stuff without me needing the arms of Popeye.

I have a pair of miniature bolt cutters. I don't know what they're sold as (maybe some kind of fencing tool) but they're constructed exactly the same as bolt cutters only scaled down to the size you can operate with one hand.
They're great on ms up to about 3mm
Maybe worth a try, very quick to use.

200 mm bolt cutters from either gedore or knipex. Set you back around 35-40 quid. Cuts 5mm mild with 1 (strong) handed squeeze so 10swg will be a breeze. A cutting disc is quicker if you’ve lots to do but the 200mm bolt cutter is the perfect hand tool if that’s what your looking for.

I recently viewed this on line video of a 115 angle in a home built base plate frame that allowed it to be used like a circular saw. I see no reason why it cannot be sized or adapted to suit cutting sheets of mesh.

Got to take the stuff to the job though, plan ahead perhaps? Thank goodness for tape measures
Being quite serious now, ordering material from a stockholder who can deliver it ready cut can save an absolute fortune on some jobs

There are loads of case scenarios where you have this stuff installed and it might need a piece cutting out. You won’t do that with guilli.
Also Kent been realistic there simply might not be funds, space or both. Those sheets are standard 2x1m so it’s a decent sized guilly needed.

Given doing on site (repairs etc) it would be what you have to hand of course (grinder or a small set of cropping shears I keep for trimming down rods perhaps?)
Point is plan ahead when you can, most stockholders will cut when you ask at time of order. Seen anything good from 50p a cut to & £3. Mentioned because many forget or never knew.
If you have a shop with a guillotine and the guys need some sheet on site you haven't got in stock. Consider the cost of getting the right sheet in, cutting it then taking it out to site, over getting it cut at stockholders and delivered directly to site. Hence putting my comments in perspective
I don't have a guillotine as one could never pay its way and until I go to a big genny have no three phase either. But thing is I have local contacts who do. I think many forget it's as much who you know as what you know diy or trade.

I can't help but think hard work is being made of this task, in the past I have had to a cut a lot of various grades of mesh and my go to tool was always a 5" grinder with a good quality cutting disc, it is so simple and so fast.
On occasions we had two or three sheets to cut so cable tied them together and hit them with the 9" grinder, it was so fast it was nearly walking speed.

I should just advise against cutting multiple materials sandwiched up together with a grinder. Not that it doesn't work just that the chance of a disc pinch is going to increase massively and it can be dangerous.
I agree though mountain and mole hill situation. Grinder, croppers, guillotine just get on and do it

This forum all over!!! I'd just pick up the nearest angle grinder with a 1mm disc and whip through the mesh, cordless grinder would be a dream.
