Always liked the rubber backing for fiber disc, a lot of the new backing discs are a hard plastic not as nice
Process explained better by video:
We have that exact same adjustable grinder at work, although we don't have those fancy sponge backing pads nor the extension handle. We have a seperate drum sander though and a big flexy shaft one. We corners the same way.
Looks a pricey bit of kit with no doubt pricey consumables!
I did most of my work with a 4inch makita grinder using the backing pad (and 100mm or 4" discs) and then an orbital.
For stainless work, it's definitely worth having that drum sander and the foil to get perfect corners, but wouldn't be keen paying out for the kit in that vid if it wasn't necessary!
Next, a 120grit brown roloc disc to smooth it nice and shiny.
What exactly is this? Google is giving multiple possibilities...
I got some fibre discs...don’t find a huge difference between them and flappy discs...maybe just so used to the flappys.....going at 90 deg each time seems to help tho rather than my usual fairly random approach
