Continuse wire feed

hi hope someone can help!!???

I have a Kennedy EMW 220 Turbo welder.
When I turn amp feed off the wire comes on and continually feeds, how do I overcome this problem?

Welcome to the forum. Any chance of some pictures, inside & out? It may be a badged machine and someone may recognise it.

Firstly I would have a good look inside (unplug from mains) to see if there are any bits of welding wire in there shorting something out, although it's most likely a semiconductor somewhere that's shorted.

Yes it does. I now believe it's a fault with the drive motor

It's unlikely, it will be whatever is supplying power to the drive motor when it shouldn't be.

If the circuit is using a relay then that may ne stuck..

You should hear it click if you put the correct voltage obver the coil. If not the contacts would have fused.

If itdoesnt then it could be pwm the tgere will be a short sonewhere
