There isn't a 1/2 inch gun as far as I know that offers as much power as the Milwaukee.that in theory beats the milwaukee HUM I was going to get makita but at the time they were not as powerful, I hate having different batteries all over the place
They ain't my favourite in all features but for power I doubt any other brand can beat it.
I'm the same as you I cannot stand having more than one battery platform. All my power tools are the li-ion snap on range. While there are things I prefer about the snap on stuff, they cannot crack loose to the same extent the Milwaukee stuff can. I think the snap on 1/2 inch is a good 150 ftlb of power behind the Milwaukee, maybe more. Saying that it is a powerful gun as are all the other 18v jobbies
