I have spent far too many hours trying to photograph our woodpecker with a pair of bins and an i-phone, good results but by the time I've got them vaguely aligned its filled its belly and gone.. every time I say right I'm going to make a little bracket to hold this lot.... still not done it.
I've got a DSLR with a yard of lens on it but its always miles away from where I need it ;-/
Why do most people hold the phone the wrong way when taking photos? Needs to be held horizontally like a camera!!!
it really winds me up on youtube videos and news clips!
Nah I cropped it like that otherwise you wouldn't know what I'd taken ;-)
I wasn't talking about your woodpecker!!!
I was speaking generally as you see about 90% of people using their phones wrong!
The video and picture quality on most new phones is incredible - and then people take shots vertically gggrrrrr!
Mines an old iphone 5 and a bit poor, I like apple stuff but I 'think' Samsung cameras are always a long way ahead of them.
Most decent dslrs have an af/mf hard switch on the side, no manual mode required - so you keep all the auto metering and such and just keep the lens wound to inf.
Is the first photo LLanstephan?
