Yeah - it’s proper name was rolled flat plate - Polished on a huge ancient wadkin multi head milling machine, then we bought a new French made cnc machine. (Thibaut) they still use the same rolling process now to make architectural glass (frosted/wired etc) at Pilkington Watson street in St. Helens.called polished plate . now its float glass

We were the only place making it in the uk (to my knowledge at least) and the factory shut down in 2008.Our lead glass comes from France and has a yellowish tinge.
