would i need to do this to use the 220v pump i have or for a new 110v pump
i keep thinking of transformer as in big transformers i use for 110v tools which plug into 220v
sorry to sound such a thicko but im not the best with electrics
The transformer is rated as 2KVA. As you are using the primary, it should be a small load on the transformer.
All you would need is a 110V relay connected to the gas solenoid to control the pump. Wire relay C and NO lines in series with pump. Pump connects to 220V via the fan wires.
You could leave the pump on if it can handle the output being closed by the solenoid.
BTW, what is the amperage of F2 (the 6" long fuse in the rear accessable from the left side panel, almost hidden.) Mine is 6A as it does not have the 2KVA transformer. Yours should be 10-15A and should be plenty to run the pump.
