Why are pedals so expensive they dont seem to have much in them after all?The price is the price, welding sets used to be crazy money, some still are. I remember when you couldn't buy a DC tig inverter worth having for under £1,400. Now they are less than £300, if you can't afford it, save until you can, simple as that.
I think my ESAB pedal was 350ish plus vat 10 years ago But im in the same school as you, if you need it you need it!I don't think pedals are overly dear, ok the R Tech ones are overpriced for what you get in terms of quality, but most manufacturers offer a decent pedal for a fair price. The exceptions being Kemppi and EWM, their pedals are nicely made but silly money.
You dont?? They are just a bit of bent metal with a pot and bit of a mechanism. Nothing facy who ever makes them. IMHO of course.I don't think pedals are overly dear, ok the R Tech ones are overpriced for what you get in terms of quality, but most manufacturers offer a decent pedal for a fair price. Thats 10 years ago. Following the same logic as welder prices etc they should be about 35 quid lolI think my ESAB pedal was 350ish plus vat 10 years ago But im in the same school as you, if you need it you need it!
