I bought a CK17 torch and I don't really want to fit it with a sheath if I can avoid it. I've instead had this idea of building a sort of swinging boom arm that I can attach to a corner of my welding table and then loops on the arm to pull the cable and torch through.
The idea is that the torch hose would be suspended above the welding table and would also put it out of harms way and dirt on the floor. Anyone here done something like this? I've seen one american suspend his torch hose from the ceiling and it looked like a useful mod, at least as long as you are doing table work.
