real world H&S would say suspend welders are a good thing. so would real world accountants
if your building anything of any size torches arnt long enough so the wire feed gets called fido stuffed on a bread trolley and dragged round the workshop by the torch. problem is torches dont like that much. and your dragging around a 35 to 70mm power cabel, controll cable, gas line for people to trip over. after melting a torch those lines get joined by a power cabel for the water cooler thats stuffed on the trolley, then the torch gives up as you basicly end up pulling it's head off.
so the water cooler gets stuffed on the power source then 2 water lines join the party getting dragged around the workshop floor, trouble is with that lot it takes a bit of dragging ad n matter how often you tpe them all together it'll still snag so torches head gets puled off again. wire feed usally gets tipped over quite often say every 3rd time that upsets the wire spool that at best means untangeling it.
or the whole lot can up in the air out the way, cant get driven over, cant fall over, splatter not burning holes in gas pipe, cant get splatter on the reel, it cant fall over or tangel.
and numpty only has the return lead to trip over
