Next job is the roof. I was planning to use 2x3 for the rafters but after placing a piece across the front to back wall it soon became apparent why 2x6 is used...tad springy

It is a lovely workshop build but I do hope you plan to use it long term and didn't do all that just to paint some panels! I've constructed temporary spray booths before from a polytunnel with an additional plastic sheeting to protect from dust and condensation, driven the car in and sealed it up, done the job and then dismantled it.
This is awesome, I love the DIY approach to things. I build a 2x2" spray booth in my workshop when I planned to paint the engine bay on my car. Some decent polythene sheets, an extractor fan and a very wet floor and it came out OK
