...and up goes the fence. Not the chain link as planned, more for keeping out/in animal(s) than security. The chain link was eBay special, it more or less fell apart/became caught up when unrolling it.
Still a little fine tuning to do, nearly finished.
Opted for Bedec Barn Paint (Chesnut), due to the good reviews and durability of the product.
However, the instructions were a little vague on the application to tanalised wood, which the feather edge is. On phoning Bedec and it doesn't state this in the instructions, any tanalised wood should be left to weather and age otherwise problems with the product adhering correctly could occur. I was advised that the wood should become grey before any attempts to paint it.
So, the tongue and groove which I used to clad the door wasn't tanalised. Sanded prior to application, and rollered on. I'm quite pleased the shade isn't too dark. Hinges coach bolted and heavy duty hasp fitted.
The Dual Action sander arrived the other day. Used on the feather edge to sand out the treatment as Bedec's Barn Paint can have trouble adhering if not.
I thought it might be an idea to use some form of insulation for the floor, considering the coldness of a concrete base. Yes, I did take the cheap route, only polystyrene here but better than nothing I figured.
Insulation cut...
…went in quite easy too. Foam filling adhesive applied as a precautionary measure...
...job done...
...when the foam cured I trimmed it back and fitted 18mm plywood over the top (tedious job)
