A hybrid inverter. They're a bit more expensive (~1.5x) but can be used with or without batteries. Don't worry about changing over, the inverter will sort that.dumb question possibly.......
seriously gonna get a solar system but as per......money is tight....
so......looking at 7,5kw without batteries.....cant sell the spare juice so it's loose or use.....
Can I buy an inverter to use now that will accept batteries at a later date.....?
reason is everything like this is double to triple the cost of whats available in the UK, so only wanna buy once.....
was told, a norm inverter will have to be replaced when adding batteries to the system.....
or should I just have a couple of batteries to start with and add to them later....kinda worrying about wreaking the batts......
the idea is, through a special change over switch *name I cant rememeber* is to use solar during the day and mains after dark...
there is nowhere here to get advice and apart from the wiring it'll have to be a DIY job.....
PS privately own'd solar is just not seen here...mainly the horrendus cost of the comp system and the extra power generated is worthless.......
I have asked 3 companies that say they install systems but non have ever been to look at my place and give a quote....
In all my travels here in 4 years I have only seen 1 private solar system and that was on a multi million £ home....
ta.....
DIY in this country is quite ok. But look at your local regulations, there may be specific grid tied stuff you have to comply with to do it. Generally legit ways of complying.
