Currently peering through a pair of specsavers glasses that Ive had for 12 months, trying to see the Telly through the fog, they look like theyve had a scotchbrite pad to the lenses. To be fair, they were 2 pairs for £49, and they do get full of dust on the yard every morning, wiped with an old t shirt etc, basically get hammered, but I was wondering if anyone has had more positive experiences of scratch resistant coatings from other opticians, from my telescope making days I know mirrors used to be vacuum overcoated with quartz, but can’t see specsavers using that
