You cant relate wire tension to numbers. Try adjusting using the method I outlined earlier and give it a try.
I'm feeling a spread sheet coming along
and then people will claim there are problems with R Techs machines (as they are allegedly untested . ...lol) when in fact it's "user error" "lack of experience"Its a waste of time looking at the numbers. If you want the machine to work properly, then you will need to set wire feed tension in the proper way. If you dont want machine to work properly then no need to bother with proper wire feed tension setting.
Dont you have proof of this??Didnt know it was an RT............if its new I would guess a machine problem almost certainly. Machines arent tested before despatch, and a good number of them appear to have faults.
you did not say if you checked the 0.6 side of the wire feed roller was installed?Have you got a 0.6mm roller fitted??
Dont you have proof of this??
Your opinion but it's not helping the OP to give him your made up figures. The example above is not what you claimed . .... I held of replying as i asked the mods to sort you out AGAIN but they must be busy.Someone I know has only just got RT machine issues resolved after 2 years. He seems to be very pleased with the outcome, but in my view a reasonable quality machine that had been properly tested before despatch, wouldnt have had problems in the first place.
I do not rule it out but I also do not make statements I can not prove. If you choose to rule out 100% the possibility of the OP having problems with his machine, given the fact that on this make issues do seem to be quite common, I think your views are not that helpful, given the fact they by sales volume alone a fair number are certainly going to have faults. But I get the feeling that in this case the OPs problems are most likely related to using .6mm wire and improperly adjusted wire feed (which I explained how to check in an earlier post).
I do not rule it out but I also do not make statements I can not prove.

ALMOST CERTAINLY?
NOT TESTED?
It's just like Mum and Dad again. Oh the arguments over R-Techs testing policy.
It's not arguments its just Chris making statements he can't back up...anyway have you checked that you have the 0.6 roller set up as it's fitted with 0.6 and 0.8. you have not confirmed this yet. ...It's just like Mum and Dad again. Oh the arguments over R-Techs testing policy.
