Think it would be alright on a Coil Spring? Due to it being a moving part.Aldi metalcare paint, as good as anything and ten times better than Hammerite which I have always disliked and found useless.
I have mild steel garden items painted in 2009 with the Aldi stuff and still looking good.
Used some Aldi metal care on a gate in 2012, still looks good, and it had minor surface rust when I painted it too.Think it would be alright on a Coil Spring? Due to it being a moving part.
In regards to 2K Paint I'm going to need to use an air gun?I used epoxy primer and 2k topcoat.
If you spray 2K then you also need a very expensive mask. You can brush it on without a mask as it's not air born.In regards to 2K Paint I'm going to need to use an air gun?
Apparently it is ok for springs. Is powder coat flexible enough for springs, there is a nylon coating that has enough flex & is almost impossible to remove, will try to remember the firm that did some for us years ago
If said parts have been sand blasted ,was allways told they need to have a coat of something on them in under 12hrs or else corrosion sets in , that came from a foreman working for an offshore contractor in a yard onshore.Morning All,
As per the topic title, @Wallace has sand blasted a coil spring & some foot pegs for my bike. But really can't decide which route to take in protecting them from wear & tear / Usual British elements!
So please let me know your thoughts to help me decide.
Many Thanks
