so I purchased Hugh's old Rtech Tig set today. Hugh dropped it over and gave me a bit of tuition on AC Tig.
I don't really go in for the "master steel first" train of thought as I think I will mostly use the set for Aluminium.
So here there are, my first attempts. Firstly ran some beads (bottom right is Hugh's example), the we did a couple of butt welds (no pics) and then a few fillets. Closeup is of my best fillet.
Apart from creating a weld pool on a piece of scrap with my transformer Tig this is my first bit of AC tigging:
