Hi Folks.
Can I ask if anyone knows where I can get a replacement steel liner for the 3 mtr hose of my machine, including the neck part of the gun.
Cheers
Mick
Liners are standard fittings, you buy them by length. Any welding supplier will have what you are looking for. Are you looking for a liner for the gun or a new swan neck ?
If it's a standard Eurotorch, any welding supplier will have them (e.g. Weldequip - top of page) you just cut the liner to suit. I did a tutorial on changing a swan neck which shows how the liner fits - Link
Hi Robostar5.
Sorry this reply is late, I`v been unwell. The torch is the original Migatronic one that came with the machine and the people at Migatronic said they cannot supply me with a new liner only a complete new torch.
Is there any thing special about the steel liner used by Migatronic or can I as pedrobedro said the liners are standard fittings and I can buy one to fit from any supplier. I also have a new 2 MT euro torch from weldquip to fit, but I am a bit doubtful as to being able to fit it safely.
Cheers
Here you go Robostar5 hope I have uploaded the two pictures ok. As you can see from the photos the main liner is plastic and the neck liner is steel and these are the bits I need to replace.
Cheers
I did quite a few liner changes on these old Migatronic guns, many years ago. They take a small diameter teflon liner, that fits inside the core of the torch, which is a semi-rigid plastic tube. Standard plastic covered steel liners don't fit. If I remember correctly, it is sometime possible to strip the plastic coating off the new liner using a razor blade, grind a chamfer on one end, then gently feed it through keeping the torch lead as straight as possible. If you are really lucky, the internal plastic tube (which also carries the gas) will not be kinked and the liner will pass through. I can't remember if the new liner will pass through the neck though. Frankly, it's a big pain in the rear, so I would strongly advise that you bite the bullet and fit a euroconnector and fit a Binzle type gun. This makes these old Migatronics into a really good, smooth welder.

Cheers Dave.
I now know what you mean by them being a pain in the bum, so while I was waiting I sent an email to Migatronic and they gave me a replacement torch part No and I have picked it up this morning(80191177 ML150C/XR) and I have just been trying to fit the thing. It seems obvious to me but can you confirm that the guide wheel with the wire size grooves cut into it is fitted to the electric motor with the size stamping facing outboard. I need the 0.8 groove but when fitted this way the metal guide quill from the liner points to the smaller groove. Might the wrong groove have been used by mistake for quite a long time and has worn?.
Cheers
PS - Hope photos help.
Some manufacturers stamp the side nearest the groove, other do it the other way around and I can't remember what Migatronic did. Fit it so that the largest groove (for 0.8mm) lines up with the outlet guide (quill).
Generally, the drive rolls are hardened, so wear is unlikely. Worst case, if you fit 0.6mm at some stage, it may just slip a bit, otherwise no damage should have been done.
