I no that one. Am waiting payment for two jobs. And as usual I got to start chasing it.no ive got the older type so no use to me plus im skint as well was after the lathe but too many none payers arnt helping

Yes. I see what you mean now. Well you can't have one without making me one...Very desirable tool holder in the third pic in that listing, but they're much better when turned round and fitted with the nut forward so the tool tip is almost below the clapper hinge pin, to help stop chatter.
That type also allows the tool to be rotated to get into tricky places, I've been after one for ages but I've got halfway though making one today!

I had exactly the same shaper. Yours looks in very good condition.
A fault with the design is that the tee slots on the cube run in the same direction as the tool travel, so heavy cuts can slide the vice or tee nuts away from the cut.
You'd always end up tightening the nuts much tighter than you felt comfortable doing so to avoid slipping, especially if you were planning heavy cuts.
Nice work, very satisfying making tools/adapters. Looks like mild steel though. For extra man points, should be a tool steel or hardenable, even case hardened (with your new forge).
Serves no purpose of course but looks trick once it gets run in with a few dings and a nice blackened finish....
