I have been waiting for some steel sheet offcuts to arrive, and the opportunity to give the mig welder a bit of a service, as it has lain unloved for a long while.
So, I have a Clarke 151EN, with it set for 2mm thick steel, and wire speed 6. Hopefully, I have uploaded my sad attempt at welding.
Welds numbered
1- first blobby weld which held
2- this was my 4th weld attempt. I spot welded everything in place, then tried swirling motion, but I may be moving tip too fast(?)
3- testing by running weld across metal, did a lot of that.
4- another blobby weld
5- spot weld attempts
Any advice greatly received, as this is a whole new area for me.
