ill be after a 1.003 ratio transfer box in th next few months if anyone knows of one
A lot of the Ex MOD Land rovers are new Old Stock.
Or the older ones are given a lot of time spent on them.
If the book says, after so many miles or age it needs a new part it get a new part.
One ship I was on, wee left the Land rover back in the compound, we came back and it had all new springs and bushes. For the only reason the service guide said it needed them.
You may have said, but i dont recall - what gear box do you have in the 110 at present?
I used to use the NFU, but massively increased prices about 3 years ago - now just shop around the price comparison sites and list the mods. Advantage with NFU was the insurance covered you offroad.Who gives sensible insurance on land rovers these days? Asking as i'm sorely tempted to get one but any mods done seems to send the price silly. NFU used to be the place to go to, is it still? cheers

Can you not put a disco r380 under?Lt77,
I would prefer a r380, but the defender boxes are silly prices.

I thought it was only the 90 that had the stumpy bellhousing, may be wrong thoDefender box is shorter so a fair bit of work to fit a disco one, i think the seat box also needs to change to a 300tdi one.
Something along those lines anyway
