Some of you will know I restored a Harrison M250 last year. The one thing i am sadly missing is Travelling and Fixed steadies. They don't seem to be readily for sale and go for over £300 a piece when they do.
Looking at the design I'm starting to think "how hard can it be?" and could do with any thoughts from the collective on making copies.
I am thinking, obtain (borrow) originals and digitally copy/scan them into a 3d model. Then either have it CNC'd or find someone who would take a 3d print and cast it. Looking at the designs the ancillary components look like something i could make on the lathe.
Am i onto a winner or is this a non starter? and yes i have checked with 600 Group both are Obsolete.
