I have been using my friends Migatronic welder on and off for a few years, but yesterday I finally got a welder of my own, a Esab Miggy 125.
After looking around and reading a lot, I have been wondering if I should change gas from the co2 that followed the Miggy to argon. What I understand from what I have read, the welding should be easier to get neat, and should be more forgiving to error in setting up the welder correct.
What do I need to be aware of besides the 2 obvious things, an argon regulator and a bottle of argon ?
Can I use the same wire for both co2 and argon?
Do I need to change anything in the welder?
Cheers
