Hiya all,
I'm making a table out of wide/flat stainless box section. Not sure of the exact size yet, but i think it's somewhere in the region of 100mm x 15mm, probably with a 2mm wall.
I'll make two mitred square frames out of this stuff which will then support the wooden top. Thing is, I want the tabletop to be suspended under the top of the steel frames.
I don't want to be able to see the fixings from the top of the table, so to bolt the wood to the steel from the underneath of the frame I'll need a way of single sided fixing.
The wood will need to sit flush to the steel. I might even rebate the wood so the steel and wood are flush on the work surface.
Any ideas? Drill and tap holes in the steel? Rivet nuts?
Kind regards,
Jimbob
