I do similar to that but the other way around, I use something like a 60 and a 55/48 compound to cut metricWould that get me anywhere near??

I’m interested in seeing your resultsBought the gear from Sergey and it arrived today. Well impressed with it and he garentees it on a free replacement if it breaks. I used Pete's formula to calculate the pitch on the metric gearbox and will try it over the weekend.
I'll post some picks if anyone is interested.
